We have you covered for horseback riding near Pray, MT, and the surrounding areas. We take short 1-hour rides all the way up to full-day rides in Yellowstone National Park. Our horses are calm and surefooted, our guides are simply outstanding. Come have some fun, take a ride. We operate under Gallatin National Forest permits along with Yellowstone National Park Stock Outfitters Permit #170-16 for your safety and convenience.

What's next?
Pony Rides: $45 pp
This activity is designed to introduce children aged 4 to 7 years to horses. We spend about half an hour with the kids, letting them brush and pet the horses while asking any questions they have. We then put them up into tiny little saddles for their walk around our facility.
Catch Your Breath: $65 pp
This is a one hour session of equine facilitated wellness for 8yrs. & up. This is a full hour of guided horse time. This activity is all done on the ground, so if you are looking to spend time learning about horses, grooming a horse, or maybe you've had a wreck and just want to get your confidence back. Horses have a way of making us feel unstressed. This activity a lot of times becomes directed by the horse. It is a time to breathe and be calm with a beautiful, strong, gentle animal.
1 Hour Ride: $85 pp * Private 1-6 pp $510
This one hour ride is a great way to get started in the saddle. Ages 8 to 80 can enjoy this walking trail ride.
1/2-day Ride: $265 pp * Private 1-6 pp $1,590
This ride is done right out of the Chico Barn. We are able to access the surrounding Forest Service Lands for a breathtaking ride with beautiful views of Paradise Valley. Wonderful lunch with drinks included.
Chico Private Rides:
Private rides can be arranged from the Chico barn. These rides are personalized to riders, and can range from one to four hours. You and your group will enjoy the stunning scenery that gives Paradise Valley its name, and have the opportunity to bond with your surefooted steed. Lunch and drinks included.
Full-Day Ride in Yellowstone: $425 pp * Private: $800 pp (2 pp min.)
Get off the asphalt and onto the trail! Our full-day trail rides are for adventure seekers looking to trek into the back country of Yellowstone with their equine companion. These rides are a great way to immerse yourself in the undisturbed quietness of nature—the possibility of animal sightings, scenic views, sore backsides and lots of smiles are high.
Most of our full-day rides are located in the northern region of the Park, near the Gardiner, MT gate. Guests typically meet (depending on lodging location) at the Chico Horse Barn near Pray, MT and follow their guide into Yellowstone National Park. The day includes a hearty, healthy sack lunch and drinks. Great horses and an experienced, certified, Yellowstone National Park guide make your day memorable, safe and informative. A typical day can range from 4-6 hours, and is fully personalized to your group’s wishes. Fly fishing excursions are also available.
This ride is recommended for ages 13 and up; please review our fitness requirement chart here. reservation required; singles can be added to an existing day ride if available. Trail Ride Fitness Requirement
We reserve the right to restrict our trail riding guests to meet these requirements to secure the safety and comfort of both horse and rider. This does not mean we do not have activities for all horse enthusiasts. If you find that you do not meet these requirements, we offer carriage/wagon rides or 1-hour guided horse activities on the ground.

Snowshoeing is a great way to spend an hour or so outside with Mother Nature in gorgeous Paradise Valley, MT. With snow in the peaks and the beautiful blue skies, this activity allows for deep breaths, unmatched views and the perfect adventure before hitting the hot waters of Chico.
- Guided Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoe Tours on Property (Snow Permitting): $55 per Person, 1-hour (10 yrs & up) Ski rental $35
- Off site photo opportunities (horses, mules, barns, snowy mountains): $75 per person, 2-hours

We are also able to guide unforgettable private X-country skiing and Snowshoeing treks in Yellowstone National Park. These trips are as long as you want them to be. We provide the skis or snowshoes along with a great lunch on the trail. Skiing past Bison and Elk in the quiet of Yellowstone is a once in a lifetime treat.
